Jack: Don't do it! You don't want to have to live with the guilt of taking another man's life!
:D
He didn't say another man's life, IIRC. He was probably thinking of when he killed Nina.

I used to love 24. Seasons 1 through 5 were the absolute best things on (American) TV at the time.

However, this season is unfortunate as it's had to compete with Heroes.

I actually finished watching the first season of Heroes yesterday. I did 14 eps in a row. I must say it was good though it couldve been much better. I really wanted to see more of Peter Petrelli and his uber super powers.

24, day6, I am looking to watch all 24 eps back to back sometime this week or next, but the comments I am reading here donot inspire me with confidence. Nevertheless, I shall still be watching all 24 eps.

For me its:-

Season 1 = Good
Season 2 = Very good
Season 3 = Not seen it but heard it was crap
Season 4 = Awesome (this is the season that got me in to 24)
Season 5 = Spectacular
Season 6 = Still good. Climax for me was at the end of the Fayad part (Ep 18?) I did pretty much make me climax too

Fayed was probably the weakest villain 24 has had - a two dimensional cardboard cut out character and the whole thing of invincible Jack killing a dozen men without getting a hair out of place gets boring after a while. There was never any real sense of tension or urgency throughout the whole season. Not like seasons past when you'd be excited about each new episode and gripped throughout.

Uncle? lol

Does anyone else think that the whiny little blond Bauer kid is actually Jack's son?

The way he kept looking at the mother, the fact they've had an affair...

Or is it just me?

Probably but doesn't the whole soap opera thing get on your nerves? I couldn't give a stuff about Jack's romance and family life. I skip through those bits now

I also thought Season 6 was a bit pants

SPOILER-ish

The whole chip storyline was a bit unbelievable, surely russias defence systmes are advanced enough to reprogram their codes or whatever, and so many other things which stretched the imagination, why does jacks dad want the blonde kid so much, etc etc

...big sigh
next season they might blow up 2 nukes, have world war 3 , and jack takes out a whole army. and chloe dies randomly. Plus we'll get to meet the rest of jacks extended family, eg Waleed is jacks uncle, and audrey is really his sister, and jack has to take them all out as they are part of an combined chinese/russian/nigerian/iraqi/eastern bloc/north korean conspiracy. jack survives it all, saves the day, and ends up crying /reflecting on what has happened before deciding never to do it again.

Season 6 was absolutely dire. No direction at all and unrealistic stories all over the place. I really hope they get back on track with season7

Bring back Nina Myers !! or someone like her its been bad ever since she left the show.

Hmmm

Season 1 - Good
Season 2 - Awesome
Season 3 - Awesome
Season 4 - Complete crap, it was like a joke, everytime they stopped his plot he jumped up with a new one, too start-stop
Season 5 - Got boring and too many main characters died, poor tony :(
Season 6 - Good

yep - i agree with that.

season 4 really was laughable. 5 was better and 6 was better still - but i still don't think the later ones are as good as the first 3.

i also thought that - i guess we will see them again.

i hope they can come up with something different next time though - its all getting a bit too same-y. they need to ruffle up the format a bit - go off on a tangent for a change.

They do. Jack gets an office job and spends the whole 24 hours working on his computer trying to meet a deadline. Sounds like it's going to be great. :D :o

Season 6 was poor but I ended up watching it to follow the story as the previous seasons were great.

I'm annoyed that most of the decent characters have been killed off in previous seasons, some of the new one just don't cut it imo - it's lost some of its feel due to this. They need to work a new angle on the story and maybe cut the whole white house / CTU side of it??

Sorry about the spoiler... And I hated that big meat head vice president.

Doyle was a surprisingly good character.
I really didn't like him tbh. Also he looked like a fool when he ran about aiming his gun with a hunched back lol. Is he out of some rubbish teeny program by any chance?.

Hopefully season 7 will be more inventive story wise, I'm getting bored by the same thing time and time again now.

And lol, chloe actually smiled at the end of season 6... Thats groundbreaking TV :D

If you remember, right at the start of Series 4/5 she was shagging some other bloke who worked at CTU. I actually needed a double take because she looked quite good with her hair down outside of work :) Didn't realise it was her.

i saw James Morrison (Bill Buchanan) today walking down oxford street

apparently he is down here for a convention

pretty nice guy shook my hand and talked abit about the show

can you believe my luck :D

I think someone mentioned above what I was thinking - why couldn't the Russians just change their codes? Wouldn't that have been the fastest and easiest thing to do, whilst ensuring that its done, instead of starting World War 3?
