£2500 for a GPU?

Still cant get my head round the fact that the £1650 I paid for my
Wow… The 3080 FE was my limit for a GPU.

Guess my 3080 FE is going to be around for a long time.

I think a lot of people who have upgraded will think that. Perhaps if/when supply increases, there will be downward pressure on prices. If people think the value is x000 then prices will remain that way. The profit margins for all in the supply chain will have to get squeezed if people choose not to pay that much and stick with what they have or purchase more lower tier than higher tier cards

A mate paid £2400 for two 3080’s at launch and I thought he was mad - he can comfortably afford it but still - he doesn’t look quite so mad now, just crazy:D

Still an absurd price for a component in a gaming system no matter how good a 3090 is…

Stock has only gone down by 2 since this thread was started so not exactly flying off the shelves.

Manufacturer dependant ... the 3 3090 strix i listed which were in stock when posted all sold with 24hours , 2 sold within an hour of posting the link so they are selling at this price unfortunately:(

Never had an issue with Palit, their coolers vary a lot but this gamingpro verison the cooler feels cheap and its bloody noisy. Glad i run it on water instead of air, don't think i could have lasted long with air as the fans are pretty unbearable when the gpu is at full load.

Not for a while until they increase production, but in the meantime I think the whole saga is damaging the PC scene, if fewer people can get hold of the hardware then it must follow fewer people are buying the software (games).

PC Gaming is Booming ! Massive sales because of Covid and people staying home to work ect as well ! Its never been bigger hence why there isnt enough stock to go around/ I have 3 close mates who have always been console players they all purchased New pcs this year for the first time ever and wish they did it sooner.

Isn't that one of their cheaper end cards?

Board Size 292 x 130 x 59.6 mm - that was the board size

Look at the pictures it's triple slot cooler. It was absolutely huge in length and width and it used much bigger fans than the triple fan designs meaning it pushed more air at lower RPM meaning it ran cool and quiet. It had dual BIOS.

That would be like comparing a STRIX card to inno3D. The Jet Stream is a top end model from Palit's range
