2600k Hong kong

I have a m8 going to Hong Kong next week. Anyone know what 2600k oem retails for in Hong Kong? as he said he has no problem bringing me one back.

I just googled and the prices can be found, however this would be a price check of a product on a competing site - so very much not allowed here.

Please bear in mind that the retailer profit margins on items like CPUs are razor thin, so the only real difference would be in tax. Then you have to factor in that if you buy from HK you can't return it if its DOA and you can't RMA it if it goes faulty. Hence I would suggest saving yourself some hassle and ordering it from a OCUK reseller - maybe one you have free delivery with

Have you looked into the implications if your mate is stopped at customs?

Such as what duties etc. would have to be paid.

I would say they are if the OP is UK based and is planning to buy a new CPU.

As for tax/duty, according to this so long as the item isn't worth over £390 then it is within the total duty-free allowance. However, if the person is bringing multiple high-value items from HK, then he will have to pay duty and import VAT for the ones over this limit.

I said they are £200 on ebay! Who knows what they are over there? If you get a saving of £100 well yes its worth it. How many Intel CPUs have you RMAd ? Fool!

If there are companys in the UK that can ship you a 2600k for £234 just think what thay are over there! bet you a pound to pinch of **** they are around the £100 mark.
