I'm still rocking a 4.9Ghz i7-2600k. It's going strong, no blue screens and my new Galax 980 SOC seems to play well with it. Best purchase of all time. Blistering performance on Jet set willy 2 =)

My wife is using a 2700k @ 4.8GHz with a GTX 780 at 1080p. There is almost nothing she can't play with very high settings. Shame her main game is Wow as the system is pretty much wasted on that.

Still happy with my 2600k @ 4.5ghz. Runs like a Champ and does everything I want it too.

I don't think upgrading to Ivy or Haswell will give me a great improvement. Maybe 5% which is not worth bothering with.

First one mysteriously died but kindly replaced by intel.....:)

no intention of ugrading for a long time yet...gpus are next on the list :)

Still using my 2600k on an Asrock Z68 Extreme4 Gen3 board. Used to run it at 4.6 but now at 4.5 just to give it a 'rest', and it's more than enough.

This CPU and motherboard is one of the best PC buys I ever made. Absolutely No point changing it any time soon either.

Running a 2700k here don't think I'll be upgrading for a few years, unless the lack of PCIE 3.0 really starts to hurt.
In that case a second hand 3570 or 3770k will do.

I bought Uncle Petes 2600k and running it at 4.5ghz with the same overclock settings as I did with my 2500k.

No complaints :D

What did you upgrade too? Was it not worth it?

Went to a 3970x partly because I'm using triple gpu's, partly because it was a decent deal and partly because I was bored and fancied a change :D

Not seen any major real world gains from this modestly clocking chip (and wasn't really expecting to) so perhaps it wasn't the wisest thing to do... No real regrets though, as it gives me more motivation to get the scratch build done.
May see about finding a good clocker, either 39**K or 49**K at some point.

Glad you're getting on alright with that one :)
My 24/7 5Ghz 2600K was the one I should've kept for a portable second rig as carting a triple card, watercooled beast around isn't too much fun :D

Actually been considering swapping my CPU to a 2600k main reasons include : Cheaper and easier to source than a 3770k and runs cooler!

Just got one, upgraded my aging i5 750 @ 4ghz. I am very hapy with it so far, currently @ 4.5 but will do more with a better rad fan that is on the way. :)
