Well, after going through
SIX IPS monitors, I finally have a good panel!
1) BenQ GW2765HT - White spots in the bottom left corner
2) AOC AGON AG271QG - Horrible backlight bleed and a really annoying dead pixel right where the back button on the browser is located.
3) ViewSonic XG2703-GS - Backlight bleed was minimal but it had MASSIVE black dead pixel in the bottom right corner.
4) AOC AGON AG271QG - Backlight bleed issue again with this panel plus lots of starry looking pixel clusters on dark background.
5) ViewSonic XG2703-GS - Backlight bleed again was minimal, but it had an almost identically positioned dead pixel to the previous ViewSonic. Almost as if they sent me the same panel back!
6) ViewSonic XG2703-GS - FINALLY - A perfect screen. The UK clover leaf power lead was missing from the box so the
* No competitor hints please **! Got it for a total of £540. Then bought a power lead for £1.99.
In summary, the ViewSonic is a far better screen than the AOC AGON in all of the models that I tried. Far less backlight bleed and much nicer to look at.
