27 litre rover ;o

Yea, it only has to take a normal MOT test, no requirement for SVA as original plates, windows, door location points etc are all in original position.

Whats the engine stolen from, a Uboat or somthing?

a spitfire i think ^_^

EDIT: the merlin was the spit engine, the meteor was derived from it as a tank engine, it removed the supercharger. its good for 600bhp!

Probably cos they dont have any, but i havent seen the photos and boy i want too! Could someone do as suggested and rehost from their cache?

We have a merlin engine at the engineering building at Manchester uni :) I always try and make a point of going to look at it, simply the most awesome power plant EVER, and it even sits next to an Olympus that iirc powered Concorde

"Embedded set of forks is good for 4 tons. "

So how much does the engine weigh, I thought the engine didnt look too big at first but its about the size of an upright piano :o
I guess the 200mph thing is the best thing to aim for because it'll be crap on a track and 1/4 mile. Still he looks well happy pottering around on that thing so good luck to him

I notice people are saying it "only has to pass an MOT", you reckon a 27 litre tank engine would pass the emissions test ok? :D
I doubt it'd need anything more than a visual check...Do you know how old the engine is?

Besides, it's fuel injected (the only one in the world, uses 24 Rover 800 injectors) and running on LPG...

Hope there's an update in the new PPC...
