Think I'm running 125% on Windows and "3360x1890" (one smaller than native 4k) on Mac...which is basically 125%
27" vs 32" 4k for working and gaming

I’m on a 31.5” 6k 6144x3456 monitor now and it’s pretty perfect for work.
Running at 175% scaling gives loads of real estate. Pixels are indistinguishable.
Only 60hz though for now. Games do look lovely at this res but my 5080 is leaning heavily on DLSS!

, this setup is for a second system I have.Heads says go 32", wallet after buying another GPU is saying perhaps go 27" 4K for time being and perhaps later go 32", as also debating if going curved now is something I wanna try, was thinking 1500R / 1800R.
Based on monitors I was looking at, it's about £28 difference going 27" 1440P to say 4K version of it, then if I go 32" 4K it's a £141 jump, this is all standard flat, not priced up curved yet. Still just looking around.
May just have to go look at screens in a physical store.

Thanks , not going OLED just yet.
Like the tech, I have an OLED TV for movies, just not ready for it on PC side; as frequently I have things on screen for hours which are fixed.
Will be IPS again, have had VA in past, but every IPS I've owned, seemed to me better visual experience.

I went OLED for my work panel but I make sure to use all the care options; it automatically dulls the screen slightly if there has been on no movement.
I wouldn't recommend the PG32UCDM to a coder. I switched to this monitor from a 4K 32" IPS and the text clarity is WAY worse. I have to scale it up at least 120% to clear it up. I'm guessing the PG27UCDM is the same. I think it's a native issue with QD-Oled.
PG27UCDM is slightly better because of the higher pixel density but yeah, the triangle pixel layout for QD-OLED can make text look particularly odd. I had a go on one of the new RG(W)B WOLED panels and that seems almost as good as IPS now which is great to finally see.

This is one of the other reason why I don't wish to go OLED. I'd be unhappy having paid premium for OLED only to cringe on text clarity.
I hardy ever use PC without lighting in a room, so blooming is not seen in dark scenes on IPS. TBH the IPS screens I've had have been good for this aspect.
