only 1920x1200? thats 24" territory. :(

pixels the size of mars...

grow up, look at the price, its cheaper than 24 inch models and 26inch models, i use a 20 inch with 1680*1050 and i cant tell the difference between that and my 32inch with only 1366 * 768 when it comes to the size of pixels, obviously though both lcd's have their advantages and disadvantages, i prefer my nec for gaming and my hdtv for movies

this screen looks like an amazing top end budget screen, just need some reviews to see how well it does, probably sufferes from a lot of problems but in the end you get what you pay for, if someone is on a tight budget and needs a big high res screen this could be the one for them, i hope badass can provide some valid input

Have you TRIED plugging your computer into the 32"..... the windows screen will look fugly as anything on a screen that size at that res, especialy compared to a WGX2 (which are sexy... i have one!).

TBH 28" @ 1920x1200 prob isnt that bad, no more so that 1680x1050 is on 22", so people will buy, especialy at that price.

Some people like size over quality.

i like the look of this to replace my gateway 21" yer theres no real DVI but HDMI will basicly do the same job hopfull the scaler won't suck on the HDMI (for ps3 / hd disc players usage) we shall see when the frist batch come in i gess

as long as the IQ is as good or near my Gateway 21" (which is basicly the samsung 215TW) will become my 2nd moniter and this my main

lots of people use hdtv's as their main screen and have no problems doing so, and i did say both screens have their advantages and disadvantages, i prefer size over quality, especially when it comes to movies, but nothing can beat the 20wgx2 pro for gaming, its a top class screen, it just depends on what you are looking for, my HDTV cost £800 and my nec cost £200, if this screen had came out 2 years ago, it would have been the best of both worlds, high res and big and cheap and i could have saved myself a lot of money

a 700-800quid 37" HDTV had cross my mind but i would use such a thing as a primary display (and i presume so ..) not to good for general desktop work (3dmax web browsing etc) unless anyone can tell me otherwise , i could do with a TV anyway :)

hmm i dissagree that it will look no swearing! @ that res and size, my 26" hdtv (some cheapo one for my room) is 720p and games look and run fine on it, even windows destop is pretty crisp,

mate if you are going to be using a HDTV for your pc i suggest only 32inch 720P, if your going bigger than 32inch then your better off going all out and getting a 1080P 40 incher, but the 28" ocuk value hanns is probably the best screen to go for, but i dont know if it can be used for TV, dont know its inputs

i use my 32inch hdtv only for watching movies from my pc otherwise i use my nec for gaming and uni work and web browsing, although i did use my 32inch tv for a year for everything and i had no problems, but as i said if you want a TV go for a 32inch one they cost roughly £300 now for a hanns and for a 40incher 1080p its like £800 otherwise go for a proper lcd pc monitor but they are expensive due to high res and small screen size

Hi there

These are arriving late next week and OcUK has an exclusive on the launch of this product and supported pricing, hence why its so cheap for a 28" screen. :)

will price stay this low? or just for the exclusive launch?

I wonder because it would be great to get rid of my old CRT for something like this, but i want to wait untill after launch so i can read soem reviews comparing it to other screens, like the 24'' dells

gibbo any chance of you testing a screen out for us? running some tests to see if it sufferes any issues like bleeding, ghosting, etc

Somewhat surpised to see there is no DVI connection on a screen costing ~£450.

If I was in the market for a monitor however, I'd be seriously considering this. The 'low' resolution wouldn't bother me as I have dodgy eyesight. I find 17"@1280x1024 and 20"@1680x1050 too small for me, so I prefer 19" and 22" models.

When gaming most people would be hard pushed to notice the 'huge' pixels in any event.

HI there

I am not very good at testing monitors as it seems some people are far too picky. I am using a Samsung 223BW here which I think is fantastic image quality and I've seen a 226BW CMO panel in action which was supposedly the bad apple but it too was a fantastic looking monitor.

This 28" will not be as good as DELL 24", it uses a better panel which gives far better viewing angles and slightly better colours. This 28" will no doubt be a fine screen that has added value by the fact it is 28" and those 4" do make quite a difference.
