Right, I bought a 280 GTX a few days ago and got it all set up. Not OC'd or anything etc. Now I thought id play a bit of Crysis see what all the fuss is about but I get this really really irritating FPS problem.
Now this is where im not sure if its the graphics card or something else.
Spec:
620W Corsair PSU
Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 @ 3.6 <- Tried un-overclocking didnt help.
Asus P5Q Deluxe
G.Skill 4GB DDR2 PK PC2-8500C5
Gainward GeForce GTX 280
Using latest drivers.
I can load up Crysis everything full play along for anywhere from 1 - 5mins until my fps starts dipping. It only dips 4 - 5 sec every 5 - 10 seconds but its very noticable. ie. im running along and you can feel the slow down then goes back to normal.
I've tried other games - CS: Source mainly, which seems to have no problem at all sitting at 100 + fps with no drops.
Any ideas at all would be a help.
Cheers,
