290 power query.

Sorry, next time i will subtly photoshop boobs in the background like the end scene of the Lion King where his ghost relatives are transparent in the sky.

I have 1.4kg of unmixed thermite sitting two feet away from me. Maybe i can just reenact the burnt power socket with some exaggerated sparks and flames!

if that was going to happen with everyones psu then why do they make the cables like that then?
they should say something like dont power both of your gpu connectors from 1 cable but they dont do they?
only way you would do that is with a psu with more rails. so it splits it?? but on a single rail psu it should be fine

Me to my Bequit psu has 3 pcie slots on the pcie - each one has a single connector which branches off to 2x 6+2 pin connectors which you can use in 6/8 config.

But if gpus require 2 of those each then I cant understand why they would advertise it as a SLI-Crossfire psu.

-_-

Im actually having problems running crossfire on this psu right now as it flat out wont work half the time crashing the machine.

The majority of power supplies nowadays have the pci cables like this. Actually its hard to find one which doesn't.

There's nowhere that says you have to use 2 per card. It's all speculation, the stability issues aren't likely to be caused by it... but if you have one spare why not use it :)
