2TB SEAGATE BARRACUDA SATA-II HARD DRIVE - JUST £79 inc VAT

To imply that this is somehow our fault is not being very fair.

Once again, thank you for interest in this offer :)

I agree

I was intially annoyed that the website took a pooh and I was unsucessful, but a the end of the day this offer was always going to be a busy one.

I think people are being a little harsh on Overclockers to be honest, even if the website did crumble under the load.

:)

Whoevers eBay ID is crow_smiling is a right ****, already put his on there for £128.

I hope you get scammed.

Thanks OcUK, mine turned up today, great service! and while I've only been a member of the forums since Jan I've actually been a OcUK member since June 2008, I just don't have spare time to post to the folks questions here, I just saw the deal via OcUK mailing list :)

Got mine today as well so thanks OcUK.

I can now finally sort out my storage issues and clear my choked up C: drive. Was getting bored of waiting so for the 2TB drives to drop in price to a reasonable £/GB level so this is just what I needed!

Would like to think that if I hadn't been lucky I would have taken it on the chin and not thrown a hissy fit though!

I was at work though so I wouldn't have been able to persevere with waiting for the security check to load if it hadn't been as quick as it was for me.

Anyway thanks again.

Glad you got your drive ok. Thank you for your custom :)

I'm still formating mine to NTFS, had it started at 3pm, still going now, currently at 88%! what on earth!?

extremely large cap drives with low spindle speeds do seem to take a day and an age to format.

I noticed a few 2tb 7200 drives popping up on etailors for a snip under £100 so it looks like the price drop is in effect, I don’t feel like I’ve missed out as much now :)

There's no price drop.

Well I can pick up a 2tb for 25~ less than I could last week so that to me is a price drop in my eyes, for the end user anyway :)
Maybe a different story for Distributors stock prices.

I usually do a quick format, then check with wd diagnostics tool to make sure its bad sector free, before i trust it with my data....
