3.5" hd case reliability

im looking to buy a 3.5" hard drive case, but dont want to spend the £20 - £30 that is needed on ocuk for a decent one.

my question to you is.... if i was to acquire one through a "friend" via a well know auction site, what would be the quality of this? would it be a bargain at £10 or would it just be worth buying a replacement hard drive and transferring the data?

Personally, I don't think there's much difference between the cheap ones off an auction site and the ones that OCUK sell, it's just that OCUK sell good quality ones which look nice compared to cheaper ones not looking so good.
