3 monitor set up?

I presume with just two screens (on a 5770) you arent forced into the same res?

I was hoping to use an old Dell 20" with a newer Dell 2407 both at full res

im thinking id like 3 monitors but not widescreen because if im gonna devote so much desk space to it id like more hight with the overall effect. am i the only one? :/

I'd like to game on three monitors eventually, but I want to have a setup of two cheapo 22"s and my 28" in the middle, as the side monitors I don't believe will do a lot apart from point out when there's a baddy there.

The DPI is slightly different aswell but I'll live with that, I just don't fancy buying 2 more 28"s, when another of these 22"s is about £75 second hand.

I'll be using two VGA and one DVI/HDMI if that makes any difference?

i think you would be best with 3 monitors the same size tbh, the difference between a 28 and a 22 is too big

Yeh but that means spending £600 on more monitors, not £75. :P

I only want the 22s so I can see a bit at the side, if someone popped up on one I'd move the camera anyway.

3 28"s would be way too long aswell, I'd have to sit about a mile away for the other 2 to be any use over the 22"s.

All I need to know is can you run different resolutions on each monitor in game, or does it create one big image and split it? So I'd need the 22"s at 1680x1050 and the 28" at 1920x1200.
