3 Monitors - New Graphics Card

Did you try this yourself NightSt@lker?

I'm not questioning you, I'm just trying to find a definitive answer so we all know what the right answer is.
The Anandtech review says 3 identical monitors over dvi/hdmi will work on the 280x due to changes in the onboard clock generators done by AMD :

But then again I've read differently when searching for an answer on Google...
No i have a 7950 which requires an active display port adaptor for eyefinity.

How come it's such a faff? Surely you should just be able to plug and play? :o

It's plug-n-play for working in Windows over 3 screens on NVidia 600 series & above.
Can't remember if AMD uses Eyefinity for expanding the desktop view?
Anyone care to confirm if it does or doesn't?

It's gaming over 3 screens that causes the hassles.
If they are 3 identical monitors you should be ok.
It's when they are not identical monitors the troubles start.

THIS! :D

I've also done some googling and can't find a definitive answer, however, I've ordered the XFX card so I'll report back when I've got it installed and working.

Thanks for everyone's input.
