3 Screens for gaming.

cant believe people can play like that lol, the line down the centre.....he even has the cam up the gnomes ****, then shocking music :(

Agreed, I imagine it like haing a nice widescreen monitor with tons of dead pixels running up the middle. I wouldnt mind multiple monitors for desktop use though.

I wonder if ppl ever tryed modding 2 monitors into 1 i.e hack the monitor case sides off where u get the line and join em up so its seamless. Probs daft to do but i always wondered if it was possible. Of course resale would be impossible unless hmm actually just superglue the frame on bottom and top after u cut the sides off, should work?

There would always be a split, the LCD panel itself has a metal frame, which is usually at least 1cm thick, so that would mean a 2cm join right down the middle.

Once you have gamed on 3 screens there's just no going back. Works equally well for FPS like Crysis and Fallout3, racing tiltles and flight sims. A 30" is just a bigger monitor with the same aspect ratio. The thing about Triplehead is thet it really is widescreen that fills all your peripheral vision. Most of the action take place of the centre screen, you rarely have to glance at the sides, you forget there are bezels on the sides after 2 minutes of playing.
The anologue version of TH2go is for standard resolutions and the digital is for everything including widescreen. Just about all games support TH2go out of the box these days, so no setting up and performance hit that you get with SoftTH.

What sort of system would you need to run the latest games through TH2go at decent resolution? Something like a widescreen lcd at 1680x1024 and two 4:3 monitors at either side running 1280x1024? Very interested in this and as I'm due to build a new PC shortly this could be a perfect time to try it.

What card(s) would work with 3 30"? An SLI/Crossfire setup perhaps. Can't be gaming with a kruddy matrox. 7680*1600 gaming anyone..?

With TH2go all 3 monitors would need to be displaying the same resolution, maximum of 3x1680x1050@57hz. This is a limitation of the DVI port, you just cant get more bandwith through it. With TH2go, only one DVI port is ude and the computer is tricked into thinking you have 1 very large displace connected up rather the 3 different dispalys (This is what SoftTH does). I used to use a 8800GTX with 5040x1050 quite happily (though you have to turn off some AA), the extra view more than makes up for it. Now I have a sinle 280GTX.
With SoftTH you need 2 graphics card and a DVI port or each of the 3 monitors, hence you can run different resolutions and hight resolutions than TH2go. Only one card does the work and the second card only contributed its DVI port.

Some pictures I posted earlier, this on 3x 20" screens I had then

3x24"

Recent shot with 3x 24" screen, rather messy at the moment. The screens dont fit on my desk without nearly falling over and are hence not angles right, but I am getting that sorted...

Only a few more pixels than a 30" ( andcheaper too) but you wont get this sort of sensation out or a 30" screen for gaming.

Right my head is sore anyway but this is making it worse.

I have followed everything on how to set it up in the Readme file and stuff and still only plays on one screen, i have added in the extra resolutions but it wont appear in the options

Heres my spec please help.

I presume you have dropped the d3d8.dll, d3d9.dll, SoftTH.cfg, and SoftTH_hook.dll files into your game folder?

Strange, it should just work. You should have 4320x900 available in the game, just chose that and it should work.

Are all three monitors enabled in windows?

Have your tried posting on the softTH forums?
