£30ish will get you something like a second hand Nvidia 9600GT/8800GT/9800GT/250GTS/260GTX, ATi 3850/3870/4850/4870 - any of which will run HD content, minecraft, and plenty of other games just fine.

Yep on a very tight budget buying second hand is a good bet, although from a reputable member's market/place.

u see i going to get a gtx 670 for battlefield and mw3 but getting that in a couple months and i want to upgrade my current athlon hp pc to run minecraft it does like 10 fps because it has ati 1150 or something built in

There's a ATI HD 6570 for £49.99 with a passive cooler. That's what I'd pick if you could stretch to £50.

What spec is your CPU and RAM? Minecraft is fairly intensive...

you'll be fine with a 6450 on a 250W PSU. I've run athlon 64 x2 systems with old GPUs (about 40W) no problem. I even have an old dell system with a 3GHz HTT prescott pentium 4 with a working PSU and a 9800 pro in it. The CPU alone used over 100W!

I had a radeon 4670 for agessss which ran off the PCI lanes power and managed Minecraft on full, 1080p videos etc... Was a great little card for the price and even ran crisis on acceptable settings :P

I doubt you'll stress the card enough for it to draw its max watt output anyway, but be careful just incase, I wouldn't run that stock PSU for too long, upgrade it as soon as you have the chance after you get your GPU, someone here should quote you something nice...
