306 XSI

my 306 has stayed relatively glued to the road with my new tyres and im fairly confident in its roadhandling, as are a lot of review sites. Theres not much body roll (compared to similiar class cars) and mine certainly grips plenty for me. And what FWD isnt going to have lift-off oversteer

306 is a class motor imo, admittedly overtaken in different departments by various cars, but i find mine comfy, its not to small (comparing to learner cars here, fiesta/corsa/rover 200, cars like that) and its got fine handling for me, along with enough grunt when needed (honest :p ) and i dont think you can really beat one for a first car. Other than if you can stomach the xsara's looks.

Errr, all the ones without torsion bars? :p
Cars with "conventional" suspension will still lift-off oversteer, it's just a little harder to provoke.

Ask Kate, on the way to Oxford I had her Mondeo doing it on every roundabout. Or DRZ at the OMFG BBQ :p

I would say in a 4 wheel ABS system its pretty mandatory that they are all discs.

Why would you say that? ABS normally acts on all 4 wheels - otherwise it would be quite dangerous!

My old Mondeo was quite happy to do it too, it was a lot easier to predict and control than the Pugs though.

I have to say, you have a cool girlfriend who lets you rag her car :p.
