My 306 almost killed me so in my opinion it's a deathtrap. Mine was only a DTurbo which is a lot slower, can only imagine the faster XSi being worse.

[TW]Fox said:Was it all the cars fault and not your lack of driving skill then?
[TW]Fox said:What whereas an old 306 is the Claudia Schiffer of the car world?![]()
Enfield said:Well yes, braking in a straight line gently then the back coming out is nothing to do with me.
[TW]Fox said:Every single day millions of people go about their daily basis without being killed by their 306. I suggest your issue was caused by your driving ability, or a fault, and not simply the design of the car.
[TW]Fox said:I find it quite funny you think the 306 is a deathtrap but the 205 is wonderful given they've both got the same setup and the same tendancy for lift-off-oversteer in certain circumstances.
Enfield said:I blame this on have 3 different types of tyres each with different levels of tread and a rear offside wheel that looked like this
[TW]Fox said:I blame your accident on your badly maintained car with a dangerous tyre setup, not the inherent design of the car.
Enfield said:So do I. Which is why I said it a few days ago.
Stop trying to big yourself up by using me and my previous bad experiences.
[TW]Fox said:So why all this rubbish about 306's being dangerous and a deathtrap?
I'm trying to stop you accusing a car of being badly designed simply becuase you couldn't be bothered to look after it.
Enfield said:My opinion of the 306 isn't going to change, i think it's a death trap, end of
[TW]Fox said:Well you've already admitted the accident was caused by the poor condition of your car, so why is the 306 on the whole a deathtrap?
And why is the 205, with the same setup, not?
Enfield said:Like I said, the 205 doesn't have power steering and it's easier to control.
Maybe when something unpredictable happens with your car you'll understand.
moss said:My car has PAS and its easy enough to control, even when something unpredictable happens. I understand a non PAS car may have more 'feel' but I dont think it would help when something happens, you still get some feedback through PAS.
