3060Ti

this sounds rich considering the market situation atm.
not really. my day job is using CAD software and we dont use 30 series cards in our machines. if you need a card that badly you would be getting an older gen card which is readily available until the stock situation on the 30 series stabilises.

There's plenty of stuff out there. If you really just need a card for AutoCAD, you could pick something up second hand for ~£100.

AutoCAD is what it’s struggles to load. If it was just AutoCAD it wouldn’t be an issue but architecture in our degree year isn’t just that. It’s also sketch up, rhino, photoshop, indesign, lumion etc etc....

I’m not necessarily saying that I NEED a 30series card, I was initially just replying saying that I don’t have a card at all. But even trying to pick up a 20series card is costing well over £600 right now. So it doesn’t make sense? Doesn’t mean I haven’t tried tho.

but what you’re saying could also be applied to most other people who are already running their games fine but just want that extra boost in performance.

When you consider the level of performance from the 3000 series and the prices the 2000 series are still going for on the second hand market, there's no real reason to go for 1st gen RTX if you ask me.

you are right in this, im not disputing that fact.

I mainly just find it funny that there is a sudden influx of new forum members who have only posted in this thread.

Salty, that's what this thread is. So many people here fall into the "entitled" category.
I find that the salty ones are the newcomers who barge into the forum and complain about the veteran forum members and the possibility of allocated stock exclusively for them.
