3070 v 3080

Good Morning All,

What is everyones thoughts on the 3070 v 3080.

I am wondering if it is worth the extra money investing in a 3080 or would a 3070 be enough.

I would be looking to play games such as Warzone, Apex, Possibly cyberpunk

Many thanks

3070 on OCUK is still there , grab one , they are good cards for your gaming resolution, you can overclock them as well and thermals are good.

Is there a noticeable difference in FE to AIB cards? Or would the FE cards be best value for money if they were available?

Not really and certainly not for the price increase of an AIB model.

£900 is a terrible price considering the FE model comes in at £469.

I agree, the 3rd party AIB prices are stupid. Who's gonna pay £900 for a RTX 3070 that should be £600 at most? nVidiots

My electric cost with my PC on most days is around £32 a month. Not really much.

I'm mining on a RTX 3070 on 5600x on overclocked profile and whole PC only uses 195 watts. if i play cyberpunk that jumps up to 400 watts. Not checked what it uses when benchmarking but unless you game 24/7 i dont see the cost of electric being an issue especialy when paying so much for the GPU in the first place. I burn about £30-£40 a week but thats with 1000 watts a day being burned almost 24/7 so the GPU will only be a small fraction of that.
