NVIDIA has released it (paper launch)... they are just out of stock for a year or two.

I have a 1080 and I turn up graphics in all games to Ultra. To me all games look good. I am waiting on a 3070 because I want one not need one, I could continue playing using my 1080 and have no problems in doing so. The 3070 will make it look better but not make me enjoy the game more. To me the sound makes more of a difference than better graphics. To each their own and I am looking forward to getting a 3070 but no having one will not spoil my game enjoyment.

Won't be playing cyberpunk/AC valhalla until I have a 6800xt/6900xt or 3070ti 16gb but still playing other games as normal, current v56 doesn't struggle with much at 1440. Not many games made for high end PC hardware anymore.

In fact I've been playing on my cfw PS3 more than PC lately, playing PS2 games and PS3 games that are mostly in 720/30

Are you actually hitting anywhere near 144FPS on ultra with your current card at 1440p?

TBH never checked. If the game plays good, I am happy

I will run a test one day and see what I hit. Everything plays good, so a 3070 can only make it run better

My 2080 plays everything 3440x1440p 120hz. There is no need for power hungry 3000 series

Just ensure that Aspect Ratio is set to the native AR of your monitor. I was having all sorts of stuttering and FPS drops with it set to Auto.
