30xx Series Founders Edition

Yeah, a 3070 Ti is pretty much nailed on IMO. The gap between the 3070 and 3080 is the biggest of the lot so far.

Kopi talks about it being GA103 but from what I've heard they have a fair stockpile of cores that didn't make 3080 grade that will likely be the 3070ti - probably with a somewhat odd VRAM amount.

Anyone else place an order and get it picked and dispatched. Normally pretty quick and wondering why 9PM nothing. Just checked E-mail again and says delivery expected between 7th -11th :o

How so when it's got a lesser mem bus and same cuda cores...

Indeed. Unless the Ti model is magically the full fat GA102 core then its not going to outperform the 3090. It will perform within a few % or so if it has same core but cut bus.

Possible they will reshuffle the pack - there is a fair gap between the 3070 and 3080 so wouldn't be surprised to see a 3070ti and 3080ti come along with the 3080 discontinued and priced just below and just above the current 3080 point.

I keep seeing this talk of the 3080 being discontinued; when was the last time a flagship GPU was discontinued 3 or 4 months after release?

Unless I (a) really get into CP 2077 (which TBH I'm not feeling) (b) get on with playing it a UHD resolution (which is unlikely) I don't see that happening.

Think of the development angles covered for the next 10 years for you.. the dirty 24Gb freedom.. oh and its available right now!

The 3070 will sell no problem ;)

Just went full YOLO on the 3090FE as well, I have no idea why?! What have I done!?

Joined the dark side :p now can relax from the mashing of F5 and enjoy some games with some crazy power.

Out of curiosity, what is the delivery date on your order listed as?

LOL

By the time I need something else development wise newer cards will be along.

Or are you just trying to pickup a 3070 secondary card on the cheap...

I think the 3090 FE coming into stock again where there is no stock of any 6800 XTs and with the 6900 XT release lining up to be another frustrating gougey mess has pushed lots of us to the point where we just want to get off of that roundabout.

I haven’t owned a NVIDIA card in about 12 years! I don’t think the 3090 makes any sense in terms of bang for buck but at least I can buy one for the MSRP, even if that price is a bit eye watering!

Pretty much why I stopped caring. Apart from getting a 1060 in 2017 I would be similar with a span of 10 years on AMD too. This is the first gen I can think of where AMD is more expensive than nvidia for their lineups, and they have not got a stronger feature set to warrant it. The lack of stock makes it even worse so when you can grab FE's nearly every other week it could be a wait into 2021 till a sensible priced 6800/XT becomes available.

I momentarily considered just going all in due to F5 fatigue, but then remembered i'd need a new PSU on top (750W EVGA unit currently with a few miles on the clock now).

Quite a few of us on quality 750w's and even a few daring soles on 650w. I have undervolted so its running at times over 100w less than at stock so much so its barely drawing more than 20w more than my vega56 was.

The resistance is strong young chicken on this one...

Resistance is futile, RTX is inevitable!

If only my darn 5950X, and rest of the parts would ship. Got an entire bundle on pre-order.
Was hoping to have it all up and running before CP 2077, since my 5820K is kneecapping the 3090.
