30xx Series Founders Edition

AMD is hiding behind Brexit rubbish so they don't have to sell at MSRP their cpus and gpus.. you know the white knights to save us all from Intel and Nvidia as many thought would happen on here ...

AMD have been the worst out of them all this generation of cpus and gpus.
Couldn't agree more, AMD cards are so bloody overpriced. They are not going to make any inroads on them at the current market.

Looks like it is fine:

https://www.coolermaster.com/catalo...ies/mwe-gold-650-v2-full-modular/#image-Item5

It has FOUR CPU / PCI-E outputs, that's more than enough for two separate cables.

It specifies that it comes with 4 x PCI-E, so I'm assuming 2 cables with 2 outputs on the end.

You just need to have one output per cable plugged into the 12 pin converter.

Yeah that's the conclusion I've come to, I've got 2 seperate cables both with 2 connectors on so I'll just use the 2 seperate cables and hopefully provided the 650W is enough it should be fine I don't plan on overclocking the GPU

Cheers

No, not 'a cable with two connectors at the end'.

TWO cables with ONE connector at each end (PCI-E).

If it doesn't have that DO NOT plug a singular cable with two connectors at the end into an RTX 3000 seties card. You need a new PSU if you dont have two separate individual cables for PCI-E.

Check if there already one such cable installed, and a second in the box?

That’s not quite true, the 3070FE and below only needs a single 8pin and is all you can actually plug in.

Not sure about the 3070ti, it’s the 3080 and 3090 which of course need two

The 3070ti on paper uses approx 30% more power (290W vs 220W) than a 3070, pretty ridiculous really when you consider the modest performance gains

Ok, any recommendations? Thanks

What is the rest of your system specs ? That PSU looks like it will be fine aslong as you use two pcie cables from the psu to the GPU. As with the picture from my previous post to you. If you have any issues with it, shutting down or restarting, some psus in previous post too that will do a good job.
