30xx Series Founders Edition

keep it, sell it, buy a 3080 of your choice...cancel it and you may be waiting months before you get the chance again

At the same time I do already have a very capable card (6800XT) so wouldn't be missing much in the meantime (I just fancied doing some b nching and comparing between the two companies).

On the other hand as was pointed out earlier if I cancel it I won't get the chance to buy another FE anyway (can anyone else also confirm that?). I'm not complaining mind you, was lucky to get one!

Nvidia know they priced the 3080 too low (for them), so won't be making that mistake again. Hence the ti version was priced considerably higher.

I expect any updated versions mrsp to be way over £650.

It's a helluva lot o' card for 650 quid. Anyone who got whichever FE card last night and today, you'll not be disappointed. But I think you're right, I think the 80 cards will start at at least 800 quid next time round.

I've never known a graphics card market like this one.

Had my "order picked" email as well.

Just gotta wait for Monday, Christmas has come early!

£650 was actually about right for pricing when you consider the prices of 80 non ti cards in the past + inflation and how much it costs to make these.

Look at all the latest tech you get inside a PS5 or series X for £450 so when you put a 1k+ GPU up against this it shows just how much of a rip off they really are even at the MSRP.

Nvidia are laughing all the way to the bank but you can't blame them really when people seem more than happy to pay over the odds for their products.

Ah, I’m mon, nothing yet though

If they've taken your money and the payment has been authorised, you're good. They may even take a day or two to pick it, but once picked it should arrive pretty sharpish. I bought one on the Tuesday evening, didn't get picked and dispatched until Thursday afternoon but rocked up in the morning on the Friday.

Weeeeeeell that's nice isn't it?

I managed to get a 3070ti this morning but decided to cancel it as I kinda need a whole new PC and might want to get a 3080 instead as the price isn't all that much more. I could have kept the 3070Ti of course and sold it for a profit but thought I'll be a good boy and cancel the order so someone else can get it at MSRP.

The retailer has just confirmed to me that even though I cancelled the order it will still be regarded as a successful purchase and am therefore not able to buy something else in the future. Apparently, it's technologically impossible for them to remove it from my account so i can buy something else.

That'll teach me for doing the right thing.

Mate, I wish you'd have seen my reply in the other thread before doing that. That was your only chance of a card at MSRP, bummer for you :(
