320.18 Nvidia Drivers - Report your issues here

You guys having problems are you doing a custom install with the driver and choosing clean install ?

Also do not install the nvidia experience as this seems to be the cause of the issues.

So we have...

It could be your PSU
It's down to AA, turn it off
It seems to be Nvidia Experience
Are you doing a clean install
Flash your Bios

Anything else people want to think that might be the cause?

The issue is, THE DRIVERS!

Anything PRE 320.x's are perfectly fine for most people

Yea except the Nvidia experience thing has been tested over at Evga forums, and I've also seen evga precision throw a mental when just upgrading the drivers on my 6 series card.

Easy answer is it's the driver's but I guess every one out there is an expert right.....

Most people on guru3d including myself are not using Nvidia experience

It's the driver, I did not install the Nvidia experience bloatware, sad thing is never had any issues like this on my AMD cards.
This is the second time now Nvidia have had serious driver issues with possible video cards dying.

Where is the proof that this driver has killed any cards ?

I see a lot of people with issues artifacting etc, but thats all, and I'm not trying to dismiss this issue, I have a 770 arriving tomorrow so I have a vested interest in things being OK with this driver.

A few threads in various forums on cards dying so don't shoot the messengers ;) http://forums.anandtech.com/showthread.php?t=2324434 .
320.18 are crap for me ie random lockups even when browsing , fan running on full speed when not gaming(happened once had to do a full reboot),previous drivers have been solid and guess what went back to 314.22 and no issues .

Cool doesn't sound good then, I will go with the 314.22 with modded inf file then, I don't want to be having issues.

Hopefully Nvidia will release a beta, (sorry a new beta) lol to resolve this issue.

Man I hate early adoption, always issues...

Been playing BF3 all morning and had these drivers installed about a week, absolutely fine here with EVGA 680 SC Signature running at stock.

I don't really see how drivers can physically kill a card unless some sort of protection mechanism was disabled. I bet a lot of cases are just people with overclocks that are no longer stable (due to optimisations) and instead of backing off they blame new drivers.

So far I have found that Trine 2 is far to bright (colours are all messed up) and Grid 2 exits full screen and when I go back to full screen, it is running ~30fps (dropped from 80+).

The Trine 2 issue has been fixed with the update ("Complete Story") of Trine 2, if you don't have the update turning the graphic details to Medium also resolves it (everything else can be maxed).

yeah, a few people are saying it "killed their card" however, what I keep asking people making this claim is have they tried actually re-installing older drivers to see if it resolves the issue

we keep seeing that these drivers have a problem, but those that have reverted to older drivers are saying this fixes the issue, the cards are not actually "dead"

even from the very thread you posted

Yeah, I went back to the previous driver and all the artifacts stopped (Though Nvidia seems to have not fixed the yellow road issue in BF3 yet). 320 needs to be fixed asap.

a driver issue in a few specific games being fixed by reverting to older drivers is hardly end of the world stuff

I'm not sure if this is more driver related or GPU related, but I figure I may as well chip in. Unfortunately I am not able to test my GPU in a different system just yet.

The issue that I am having is my GPU driver crashing. Funnily enough it happens when I'm not playing games. When playing games everything is ok (tested BF3, Guildwars 2 and a few others), yet while I browse the web, the driver will randomly crash. I've tried both 320.18 and 320.08 (Which I am currently on). Tried doing complete reinstalls using driver sweeper, but no luck.

My specs:

Windows 7 Ultimate 64
i7 3770k (stock) with corsair H100i
16GB Corsair vengeance 1600 (stock)
EVGA GeForce GTX 770 Superclock ACX
Asus Sabertooth Z77
Plextor M5 Pro 256GB
Seagate Barracuda 2TB
Seasonic X-Series 650w

Regardless these drivers are crap(lots of issues) ,they should have done more testing, plenty of Nvidia users like myself had to go back to previous drivers just to get things stable, that alone tells you there are issues.

these drivers proper screwed my pc, had really bad graphic corruption on start up and tehn hard lock after 8-10 secends.

Tried using safe mode to delete all nvidia files, but didnt work just had to do fresh install.

At least my cards are okay :(

Tried that and its still the same sadly. Means I'll never get to finish it.

I have read somewhere that it should be fixed in the driver released at the end of the month. Tink it was on the GeForce forum. Can't be 100% though. I really hope it does as the game is really good.

My system is a clean install on a new ssd and I have still had some problems.

Can I ask Neil why you choose not to use GeForce experience?

just out of interest do you overclock your card manually ?
Do you adjust voltage etc ?

no casting aspersions just wondering. Also do you use any monitoring software, eg afterburner ?

What I am thinking is I've not seen a common denominator. Lots of people having varied issues. You can't just solely blame the driver because it works fine for some people. It must be a combination of the driver and a n other.

It's not overclocked, default card,I'll go as far and say 320.18 drivers are the worst I've ever used and I can go back to Nvidia TNT days for those old timers like myself here ;) .
