320.18 Nvidia Drivers - Report your issues here

I read over on the geforce forum that someone installed the 311 drivers on their 780 and they were great, 314 should be ok, But nvidia dont recommend installing older drivers even though the 314 drivers were out at the release time for titans, Allegedly.

I would also like to know how to mod the INF file on the 314.xx drivers in order to use them with the GTX7** series?

mmacarthur do you have the 3D drivers installed and turned on, and if so is it forcing your monitor to remain stuck in 3D mode even after exiting games?

GTX 780, 320.11 driver (bit nervous of going to 320.18 with all those negative reviews).

System froze 3 times:
Atleast 1 while using firefox
2nd was possibly firefox again, but I can't remember, may have been chrome.
1 while loading crysis (1080, everything max), got to 93% load of the first mission.

Had to switch it off on the case.

I have played Arma 3 with max settings for about 30 minutes, no freeze. (Before attempting to play crysis).

And I have been able to play m&b warband (not a overly demanding game), for a couple of hours. Though one of the screen freezes may have been during loading it at one point.

I haven't used it all that much so far, ~10 hours of light usage (not gaming, just getting it setup) + the gaming above.

Sounds a lot like the 320.18 problems (well I hope it is, completely new PC! nothing OC)

Specs:
4770k (had stock cooler at time of crashes - pretty hot)
MSI GD65 mobo
8gb vengeance
700W PSU
GTX 780
HDD
CD drive

I don't have the 3D portion of the driver installed now but I did yesterday and I wasn't getting any forced 3D, just texture corruption followed by triangles all over the place.

I have an MSI GTX560Ti Twin Frozr II/OC, it is at it's standard clockspeed of 880MHz on the core core and 2100MHz on the memory.

The problems I have had are the system freezing for a second or so on a fairly regular basis, happening most often when opening or closing a tab while using Chrome, but also happening on the desktop and in the file browser.

I've had a couple of full system hangs, which seemed to happen while using metro applications.

Last night the screen went blank twice. The first time the screen went blank the power LED changed to amber, I pressed the on/off switch on my computer hoping to turn it off and on again, but about 10-20 seconds later the image came back and my computer hadn't shut down.

The second time the monitor power LED stayed blue, I still had sound, and the picture returned after about 30 seconds.

I look forward to the next set of drivers. Hopefully, they will sort these annoying issues out that a few have had.

bummer. these 320.18 drivers sound dirty. i really need to try bf3 and see it anything happens on my 780.

skyrim ran perfect though last night. (320.11 driver)

as i was saying in my other post...

my Palit Jetstream was a hot one i saw it hit 90c in my Haf X whilst playing bf3 when i got it, it was loud too maybe these drivers are just pushing the not so good cards over the edge?

weird though as i didn't hear the fan spin up whilst playing iRacing maybe thats why it died?

Any official word from nvidia on these yet Greg?

Not a fan of others having a laugh and finger point about this, really quite gutted for those that may end up with dead cards. Nobody likes to see their £300 investment burn up.

Well i've been playing Mechwarrior Online and the fans on my 580 seem to be working extra hard, 1920x1080 and no AA so it shouldn't be killing the card. Also it had rebooted my PC in the middle of a game. I dropped back to 314 and the fans don't seem to be working quite so hard.

After installing the new drivers I've experienced a few freezes while browsing with chrome,
windows explorer crushed a few times and I was unable to use skype without it crushing every 1 min. Went back to the previous drivers and everything is fine like it used to be.
