Hi
I sold my 200sx s14a a week ago and looking another car. From my young days i always loved a 325i sport, e30 shape. So might get my hands on one now for the summer. Whats people opinions on them and common problems other than rust which from what im told is a very major problem just about everywhere in them.

What to look for, any owners clubs so i have more chance or sourcing a well cared for example and what sort of money they go for. Over here in N.Ireland they fetch quite a bit of money, up to 5k if clean and good.

Just general information is what im after, performance, mpg and anything usefull to know.
Thanks

They are ****ing Fantastic Looking cars imo

I will one day have one my self :)

Try get a IS model though, 2 doors>4 doors

The 325i sport is only 2 door

That car is just up the road from me and could have it for about 4300

I have seen them go for 5k over here. Its a good example and people are willing to pay for it. Me, on the other hand i would rather buy one for about 3k. The again i could buy that and not loose a lot if slod it while its still sunny.

People pay for them. Not really any debate about it but thats what they go for if its clean and rust free. Especially over here.

I'm not doubting they do, more suggesting that you really should consider an E46 for this sort of budget, or, at a push, an absolutely mint E36 328i Sport Coupe.

I am completely confused about the prices flying around in here, E30's are NOT worth anything like this money!? You could have a convertible 325i for half that, and they are worth more.

Its all about what people want. These are cars owned by enthusiasts that dont want something bang up to date. I love them, the looks and styling.

Paying £5k for a car like that is akin to paying say £10k for an old VW Camper. Totally irrational and becuase the car is 'with the scene' at the moment. Wait a few years for people to realise they are just BMW's and the price will reflect the car. In real terms, thats a sub £1k car.
