I'd not buy anything with less than 8 cores at the moment. Not if I wanted to keep it a decent amount of time anyway..

3700x seems to be the gamers go to at the moment.
But if you had no machine currently, would you still say the same thing?Get a 4700x
Yes, If buying right now I'd pick a nice x570 and grab the cheapest 1000 from ebay and limp along for a while until 4700xBut if you had no machine currently, would you still say the same thing?
I cant imagine 4c8t will cut it for 3 years.
And if you're planning to buy a new graphics card in a years time - does this change anything? The 3600 over the 3700X with the difference spent on a Gpu would net more fps especially if your looking at Gpus £500 and under.
Then get a ryzen APUAnd if you're planning to buy a new graphics card in a years time - does this change anything?
New APU, or recycle an amd 570, 8gb?Then get a ryzen APU.
Yeah, if you already have a Gpu then you can just use that for the time being and skip an APU.New APU, or recycle an amd 570, 8gb?
but I guess it depends on what your using right now.
So if you wanted to outline a PC rebuild plan, I'm interested. (Graphics may be salvaged, but I have a 7850 laying around, so I have *something* there, to wait till big navi with)
Going with a separate cooler, not the wraith thingy whatsnames?
