35" Curved 3440 * 1440 200Hz Curved QDot FLAD 1000 nits

Nah, they're just trolling shirley???

Doubt it. It's a foreign site and it's showing as in stock for immediate delivery and was only a new addition added yesterday.

It does say Asus RRP is £3k and their price is only £2,400. It's one of the major Chinese sites. I'll see if I can find it again. I was on there buying a Fitbit and saw the link for new monitors in stock so checked it out of insterest and was shocked.

Even at £2400 it's too much.

But with it been asus I wasn't that surprised. They must think pc buyers are all rich.

At £1500 or less I might have considered it but even then that's silly money when you look at 4K HDR TVs.

Thanks for the info Greeb :)

These won't be selling in any kind of numbers til they hit circa-£1500. And they better not suffer from bleed very much, or they'll get most of them back!!! :D

The price is a real downer if it's true. I don't really care about VA etc as all I use my X34 for now is mostly story lead RPG's, very little gaming where I need to worry about response times. I was budgeting about 1500 for it though and anything more will be a no go.

I think VA is a walking duck surely now with IPS and FALD? IPS HDR screens probably match VA now with blacks the only problem is waiting and price gouging. And if retailers scramble to buy all the stock cough Gibbo the price is going to be even higher! It will easily be £2k in the UK its the 4K screen mortals only have a chance of owning. Im even now having second thoughts on that because ive recently taken to noticing the choppyness of motion at 120hz. And its making me sick if i watched a slo mo video of 120 versus 240hz whoever said 100hz+ has dimishing returns clearly is misinformed.

Motion blur reduction will not be available at 200hz and IPS still has issues with frames taking 5ms or so your going to still see blur and notice animations getting smoother. Really if you did some looking around you would see that without strobing modes, Your going to need at least 240hz to get a perfect image. Im really not sure what to do i was going to eat my words and maybe put this back on my list again but they need to justify the 200hz motion blur for £2000. With fald it would probably be worth the money to some people like me.

Then again you can have a 4K 240hz screen in 16:9 for £520 but you lose some pixels, And have to trade IPS FALD for TN just to gain 40hz.

I cannot believe im actually saying this but TN has gotten really good compared to what it use to offer. The picture isnt horrid and blacks are good enough unless your a "enthusiast" about it for lack of a better word. VA is joke imho. It use to make some sense but now with the improvement to colour for TNs and the improvement to response time for IPS, va i feel, makes no sense. Ive settled with a 165hz S2417DG and absolutely loving it but im stil noticing a bit of blur but its a lot less than what my mx34vq spat out. I miss the immersion factor but ive gained the ability to focus better on the game play so overall its a win for me.

I know im seriously thinking about https://www.bit-tech.net/news/tech/monitors/benq-announces-dyac-driven-zowie-xl2546-240hz-monitor/1/ because motion blur from testing is what partly makes my eyes strain and then i get sick. As i said above im just scared of VA without high refresh rate strobing its fine until someone bloody shows you a comparison of a really fast TN and you realize great picture but garbage in motion. Seriously thinking about selling my FG2421 for one of these TN's until we see how these bigger HDR screens really are.

I think the link i gave there is the pinnacle of non strobed motion, And you get to keep G-sync.

There's no way they've really got stock in. It's not due for quite a long time and I doubt it's even in mass production yet
