360 Chromehounds Demo

Pretty dire.

Unfortuntely I find most modern games totally lacking in gameplay and playability.
You want a DS mate. The 360 is great fun but only for games you've played many times before.

I quite like the game i find it much better in hud mode and i like the sense of scale you get it really does feel like your a 100ft robot

Has to be one of the worst demos I've played. Demo's are supposed to make people want to buy a game are they not? Blimmin' awful!

I had this preordered a while back. IGN put up one of their movies showing a large part of a mission in an HD movie. Normally (like in the Battlefield version), you're blown away by all the crazy action, pretty graphics, etc. In this one it was just some mech walking around occasionally firing a few shots, and leaving it at that.

Since when did Mechs move away from peppering everything, to acting like snipers? Even the explosions were anti-climatic.

Cancelled the preorder :p

i expected HUge chain guns and Firing 100s of missles, maybe that was later missions.I also expected amazing sound effects of the mech walking about.

Guys, it is a tatical online team based game in a persistent world. The demo is rather poor but I think quite a few people here thought it was going to be an arcadey shoot em up with a great single player game, which it isn't.

Doesnt disguise the fact that the feel of the mech, its weapons and the blandness of the landscapes are all pretty poor. Those are things that wont change too much in MP for a guess.

Whilst true, the mech you get is just one variation. The feel of the mech is very subjective, but I quite like it. But the whole point of the game is so you can customise everything to your taste. It is a shame the demo cut all of that out. Game looks quite good, demo is rather poor.

The big question is why they bothered with a SP demo for a (almost) MP only game.

Because anyone with Silver or higher can download it, but only gold would be able to play it. You aim a game at the largest target audience, by being single player you have a target audience of 100% of Xbox Live! users.

Ah, very true, but what good is a demo that doesn't reflect the game? It is rather like having a rather poor single player WOW demo. It totally misses the point. If you need gold membership to play the full game, it is fine for the demo to do the same.

I think they wanted to release a demo but didn't want to go to the effort of making an MP one. They wanted something that showed you a hint of what the game is, but they missed the mark IMHO.

just played the demo and have to say its such a shame. This was one of the games that sounded really interesting. I loved the mech warrior series and was hoping this would try and capture some of those feelings but seems to be a bit bland.

Although this is a demo it would have been nice to see some of the potential customizations that could have been done to the mechs and such a shame that you can't fire all the weapons at once.

As for the crosshair what were they thinking it seems to be a bit pot luck if you hit something in the hud mode and a zoom option would have been nice so that you could see the fear in the foot soldiers eyes when you send over a hail of rockets. :D

oh well will have to wait until this hits a classic or platinum range as i don't think it will be worth the £40 price tag.

oh well will have to wait until forza 2 comes :)

oh well I will go back to this beast

Yes, like GRAW they should have released a single AND multiplayer Demo.
