Hurrah for VIRII champion of consumer rights for the little man ( no really, I am not being sarcastic), keep the consumer rights information coming so I can smite down the commercial juggernaughts how would try and con our fellow man out of their legally entitled rights.

I agree when I first when into game and asked how would I go about returning my xbox360 which seems to have started crashing for no apparent reason, he first said I may have to return it to there online department because that is where I bought it. After arguing the toss he next said well we need a reference number from MS that corresponding to what the problem is it might be quicker to sent it straight back to MS.
By which point id had enough and stated it’s part of my statutory rights (thanks to what I had read on here) to have it replaced to which he asked, had I hovered the outside of my Xbox as it needed doing regular, I informed him it does not state to do that in my instruction (even though I know less dust = cooler running) , I then asked for his manager who went on to sort out my replacment without a problem.

Anyone would have thought the replacement was coming out of the sales assistants own pocket.

He asked you if you had hoovered it?
Unbelieveable.
Absolutely no need for a reference number either - your contract is with game not MS.
Grrrr those game muppets need educating.
