360 only or PS3 only 'owners' - not if you are rich and have both

Had a 360 then sold it due to the noise and failure rates, I then got a PS3 to replace it, happy with the PS3 build quality is excellent and it looks better, but I had some spare cash and have now bought a new 360 so best of both.

i own a ps3. have never bought a 360 though i've played on one a whole bunch of times.

id still buy a ps3. it does exactly what i want it to do and does it very well. 360's are too loud and break too often. which is a shame becuase i really DO want one. give me a black 360 that is as quiet as my ps3 and wont break in 3 weeks, and im sold.

It sounds like your buying it for the hardware primarily and not the games, which is fair enough I suppose.

Simple choice if you want a games console to play games and thats the 360.

I have 360 and Wii and plenty of games to survive on, I wouldn't swap if I had my choice again. Although looking at the shelves in town the other day you can survive on just a PS3 quite happily these days.

Bought a PS3 and happy with it, hardware build quality being a deciding factor, including hard-drive as standard. I also wonder that it's probably more likely that the PS3's software will catch up to the quality of the 360's before the 360's hardware catches up to the quality of the PS3's :)

Bought a 360 and would buy it again as most of my mates have one and I'm social creature.
I do wish it was quieter, and when the warranty runs out I'll have it in bits and redesign the cooling system, it'll probably find its way into a HTPC case. the fact that its a MCE aswell helped with the sell.

I don't have either but having played on both around equal amounts, I'd get the PS3.

Not that I will, because even £200 is far too much money for a games console i'll hardly ever use.

I had both but only have my 360 now as I sold the ps3 on.

Wasnt a big fan of the controller on th ps3 as I dont find it as comfy or well built as the 360 one.
No FF (but thats being addressed atm I guess)
Dire lack of games (My main problem with the console)
Dire lack of AA exclusive titles that arent already on the 360 or coming to it
Some very poor ports
Poor online service no where near as good as xbl even if it is free I would rather pay for quality than get scraps for nothing.

I loved the build quality (touch sensitive buttons made me smile) and quietness of the ps3 but it counts for nothing when there are no games on it that reeled me in and everything half decent on it imo was on the 360

If i didnt have a console atm and had a decent go on both ps3 and 360 Id still have to take the 360.

Although I have both, I think I can comment..

If I could only have 1, It would be the 360 as well..

The PS3 is fine, nothing inherently wrong, which is it's downfall in my book, it promised 'twice' as much as the 360, yet it only just competes with it..

The game situation doesn't need to be restated, but to say I have 5 PS3 games to 15 360 games...

Well ive had 2 360's and have had many friends get the circles of death! I now have a PS3 and although the games are in short supply, i think its a better deal all round, built in ble-ray player. built in wireless. built in memcard reader. DVD upscaler. and much better build quality. i know this is the 60g version i refer to, but for me after 2 360's i prefer the PS3 and it can only get better when the games start to arrive that use it properly to full advantage.

Iam not saying the 360 is no good as i thought it was awsome on release and enjoyed the game play ect. but on a personal level i like the PS3 for what it offers straight out of the box. and i have enjoyed some blu-ray movies aswell.

I really liked Kameo and PDZ, never played Viva Pinata. (does look good though)

Viva Pinata was great, and imo easily better than the other two.

Kameo was fun until you turned into the underwater creature, then the controls went south, and I found it far to frustrating, which was a shame.

PDZ was just awfull, from the graphics to the controls.

Personally I feel (like most) that the 360 controller is excellent and by far the best controller for FPS, both Kameo & PDZ had the same flaw, and that was with the controls.

Sorry didn't know whether Party Animals was out or not, reviews haven't offered much hope.

I really hope RARE create a brilliant Banjo, but after the above mentioned games I do have my doubts tbh.

had the choice of buying either, decided on xbox 360, im not waiting for games to come out for the ps3, which has been out a while now. plus xbox LIVE.
