360 or PS3?

Eh, one question, if you buy the console from ****, and you buy it from their wimbledon branch. If something is wrong with it, do you have to go back to the same branch? or can you just go to any branch as long as its the same company?

I have bought one at one branch and did a swapout for a new unit at a different branch (they didn't have any 360s at my original branch). I don't think it will be a problem.

btw Edit out the competitor in your post.

To be honest, stick with a PC. :p

I bought both, the 360 on december 24th 2005 and the PS3 a week after launch, (bought my son one as well).
Its funky, bought it for both the gaming and the blu ray playing.

Not as many games TBH. I was an avid PC gamer, but you can only play so much BF2 and CSS before being sick of it.

The PS3 and 360 are two machiens that are similar in a lot of ways, but differ in a lot of ways. THe PS3 on line is not nearly as good as Xbox Live, and i doubt it ever wil be as good, however it is free and the playstation stores download speedsa re brilliant compared to the 360.

THe games themselves have no slowdown at all on the PS3, compared to the 360 which does suffer from low framrates at times, COD3 is probably the worst ive came across as an example for slowdown.

The browser on *** PS3 is a very good idea, but unfortunately the console wont recognise my mouse, however, it will reconise something much better, my steering wheel. Switched on GT:HD and plugged my PC wheel in and off we go, no calibrating or anything, worked straight off, unliek the 360 which requires Micrososfts wireless wheel.

The sixaxis on *** PS3 is very good fun to use in arcadey games, but as a wheel on F1 its more annoying than advantagous and i prefer to just use the analogue sticks. The controllers themselves I find pretty nice to use, the PS3 beign the same as the last 2 consoles. However, i find the PS3 controller a bit uncomfortable after a long amout of time of useage, having to reach to use the analogue stick really makes my hand ache, whereas i can sit on thet xbox controller all day with no problems.

It depends on what you want from *** console really. If you want online FPS fun them get the 360, but if you just want a good console for racing games, then GT:HD and F1 are brilliant, but dont forge that theres Forza 2 coming on the 360 very soon.

I'd get something to keep you going like a Wii for now as they're super cheap and hold off on a PS3 for now and wait to see what the future holds.

Or if you already have a PC buy a couple of good games to tide you over for a few months. See what the future holds. :)

I bought an Xbox 360 yesterday out of a choice of all three consoles. The shop I went to had one Wii in stock and several PS3 consoles in but I decided to go for the Xbox because I thought the bundle was good, premium console with two good games. The Wii I would have had to buy a rubbish game with it that I didn't want and the PS3 I don't see the advantage of it over the 360. The fact that it is a Blu Ray player doesn't interest me in the slightest, the films I buy tend to be pretty obscure and are years away from being released on either HD formats.

Hi, looking to get either one of them, anyone with both can tell me which ones better?
Neither is 'better'.

A games console lives and dies based on the quality of the games released.

On that basis, the 360 is the clear winner for the forseable future.

I have both and haven't played a PS3 game in over a fortnight. Only powered up the PS3 for Kingdom Hearts 2 and to watch Casino Royale.

I'm sure it will be a great console in the future, once the games are out, but for the timebeing I find it hard to recommend as a purchase over the 360.

what games are you playing on the 360 ?

Guitar Hero 2's taking up a lot of my time atm. Once I'm done with that, I still have unfinished business on GRAW, Saints Row, Top Spin 2, Dead Rising and PGR3.

Spent a couple of hours playing Panzer Dragoon Orta last night, which has just been added to the BC list. About to fire up Street Fighter Anniversary to have some sho-ryu-ken banter. :)

Ok guys, one question.

Lets say if I want to connect the PS3 to my BenQ 24" and there is no in built speaker in the monitor.

What do I have to buy for the PS3 to produce sound?

Speakers/amp with a sound input basically, be it via digitial or analogue.
