[360/PS3] A Brütal Legend Thread

Loved the demo, day one purchase for me.

It's the first time in ages a genuine smile has crept across my face when playing a game. It just seems 'fun', as your battle starts with metal wailing in the background :D
 
Day one for me too, btw. Although it has been since it was announced. Can see the Schafer charm shining through in the writing & comic timing even in the demo.
 
Downloaded the demo last night and had a play with it...seems pretty cool actually...ill probably wait till it goes down in price then trade a few games in for it...but definitely had me smiling which is very rare for a game to do.
 
Downloaded the Demo on PSN and its like ‘full throttle’ on steroids. Graphics aren’t going to blow your mind, but then this is a game that’s not about graphical appearance, its more about presentation and atmosphere…

I felt the game was very enjoyable, worthy rental and for some it could be a worthy purchase.

Loved the opening scene, that was hilarious.
 
Played the demo the other day. I have to say I really cannot wait for this. The game had me smiling and laughing all the way through.

I was really mifted when the demo ended :p I just wanted to carry on playing.

I also loved the start where it wanted to make sure if you wanted swearies and blood in it. HOLY *at time to time there may be swearing in the game to enhance the pure awesomness of the game please make your choice* *Yes I want as much swearing as possible* *No I am a wimp* ..... *click yes*..... HOLY ****** **** !
(or something along those lines :p)

I have to say Jack Black was an extremely good choice for the voice over for Eddie
 
Well it does appear the game is gaining some favourable reviews now its on sale in the states and the review embargo is lifted..

PS3 version is noted for some rather iffy slowdown, and screen tearing. PS3 version is also said to have some audio issues, and both versions suffer from slowdown and screen pop ups.

Also, its a RTS Game? But ok, reviews seem good no idea how the multiplayer works. Single player is a little shorter then expected.

Anyone still getting this one? I know uncharted 2 is out this weekend as well, so two top titles in one day. Can't be bad..!!
 
Ah well just read that the PS3 has a 256MB patch to take it up to 1.01 and I think its to address some of the audio issues...

why is it that most games released for PS3 need a patch within a day of its release to get it up to the same standard as the 360 version? Is the PS3 so tricky to port across to, or is it something else?

Well anyhow...

Well if you think about it, they've managed to sort the issue out by launch so it's clear that a little extra time and testing before they launched it and it wouldn't have needed a patch at all.
 
I played the demo of this the other day, and its one of the slickest pieces of presentation that I remember seeing in a game - ever. The whole feel fo the introduction, the ability to choose profanity and violence so simply, the narration and the characters all worked flawlessly.

Its not really my kind of game to go spending £20+ on, but when its available for cheap I'll pick it up. Really wasn't expecting much before going into the demo, but really enjoyed it.

After you got me so hooked on the demo and now looking forward to this, its your thread on this game that got me so looking forward to it...

I had no idea this game was coming out till you mentioned it... Hidden gem so it seems.

In fact I'm going to dig out my old copy of Full Throttle tonight and play it through again, I can play that game in one whole sitting, never get bored of it..:eek::D
