I'm all out of Hovis. :p

lol lucky bugger. i've got a copy coming on Friday..... I didn't pre-order so have had to ask my dear old mum to put on aside in a supermarket she works at....

Can't wait, some of the reviews have been great.... Seems most like it, RTS elements getting a mixed bag of views.. All say its funny and stylish and full of head banging metal... Cool.. :)

Got my copy today too, it is making me laugh a lot more than I thought it would, it is a completely different game to what I was expecting too

Finished the main story off this morning, but I've got tons of stuff to go back and find/complete.

I really enjoyed it. :) I think other Tim Schafer fans will be just as pleased. Some great dialogue in there. :D

Didn't take long! Quite a short game?

Does the combat get a bit more in depth? :)

Apparently the story can be blasted through in about 4 hours but there's a ton of other stuff left over still to do.

Heard the story can take anywhere from 6 - 10 hours if you semi blast your way through it...

i'd maybe take the time so as I don't miss anything. Can't wait to get this game. Even changed my sig as I'm so looking forward to playing some heavy metal mosh pit battle.. lol

"lets mosh it up" !!

I played the demo and enjoyed it quite a lot. Don't think I'm going to hurry to buy it though. Might wait till it drops in price a bit. From what I played of it it looked like a fun game, the RTS elements do put me off a bit though.

The main story is quite short, but I didn't really touch any of the side quests (going to go back and do them) because I got hooked on the story. I probably took 5-6 hours? But I'd expect someone that did the side quests and did a lot of exploring to spend much longer on it.

The story is very much in Tim Schafer's style of story telling. :D

I enjoyed the combat a lot, the mix between solo combat and RTS seems to be pretty good. It's not a complex RTS by any means, but it works really well with the rest of the game.

The sides quests are non existant its basically 90% just finding stuff and you could do the main quest in far less time If you know what you are doing.
Will not be picking this up for a long time certainly not willing to pay more than £10 for it, was looking forward to it but have seen the game played through many times. The world is very shallow indeed there simply isn't much to do outside the main story quests apart from wander around looking at and finding stuff. You know it's bad when a bigger side quest is a 1 minute race against someone.
What it needed was faction wars like a territory rts battle ongoing in the world realtime.

I found plenty of side quests, they're hardly "non existent".

You've seen the entire game played through? I wouldn't buy it anyway if you've seen it many times. The story is the best part of the game.

There's loads of different side quests, but again it's hardly the selling point of the game. It's not GTA.

Yep, that's exactly what it didn't need.

I have to say I am rather looking forward to going home tonight.

I didn't pre-order it as I was very unsure on delivery atm. So I am going to pick it up on the way home :)
I am going to get it this week. Then next week I will prob pickup Uncharted 2..... Having said that I might just cave in and buy both :p

I'm about 30% in and its not a bad game..... I've got the PS3 version, not a lot of choice really. Its PS3 or nothing for me..

Anyhow, the sound issues that were in the demo are fixed with the patch, it updates to 1.01 before you even get to play. The graphics look a little better then the demo, and its a bit smoother running, frame rate is fine until you get a big battle, but its no biggie..

The game is addictive, the music is awesome. the menu is great, and the cutscenes are funny..... Its quite a clever game, but its not easy to know what you're doing at times...

And, the game suffers with some really awful screen tearing, which IMO really lets it down, as I hate screen tearing...

But other then this, it is really quite a cool game.
