360/PS3 FIFA 09 would only run on “1-3% of PCs”

Oh well. On the PC pes09 can be bought sub £16. Fifa09 cant even touch that price (best I've seen is £24).

Got Fifa 09 for £29.70 for the 360, very close to pc gaming prices.

I don't think I've paid more than £24.99 for a PC game, even on pre-orders and buying on launch day, with the exception of COD4 which was a special edition. Insane prices is one reason that my 360 is gathering dust, I flat out refuse to pay £30-40 for mediocrity like Force Unleashed.

Don't pay retail then

The only 360 game I paid RRP for was Soul Calibur 4 and that was when I first bought my 360, the rest I've picked up second hand or through promotions.

1-3% of PCs is probably still more than both the 360 and PS3 added together.

Exactly, out of the ten or so computers I would encounter on an everyday basis only one, my one, can play current games comfortably. It's just that gaming isn't high on everyones checklist when buying a computer.

Will they start using these statistics to make decisions on their future PC game developments? I hope not. Despite EA churning out games all the time, there are some out there that are quite good

never heard such crap in all my life, its like hes saying take all the pcs out there and only 1-3% will run fifa well yeah if you include all the laptops and desktop pcs that people that arent gamers use.

If you break it down into gamers pcs im sure he will find the figure is that more like 70 -80% at least

+1, that was exaclty what i was going to say!

I would say there is massive amount of pc out there that will NEVER have a game put anywhere near them! My girlfriend had her laptop for years and all it was ever used for was the net and "word" type work, and that's it, as i'm sure a huge amount of pc's are!

1-3% of pc's and they have taken into account all office pc's that would never even see fifa out of all games.
why are they bothered about pc's that were never meant for gaming and the users have no intention of playing games on them....surely only customers who would purchase the game should be taken into consideration.

maybe they can dumb down the next ps3 game because the ps1 isnt capable of playing it.

I blame Intel GMA.

He is kind of correct, most people use laptops, they have really poor graphics cards or none at all.

But this doesn't mean there isn't a large market of gamers with capable PCs.

I get my kill with all this next-gen malarky.

It won't be until the next consoles are out that we will get a real high definition experience with them in terms of graphics and gameplay.

Some of the graphics with the games are good, but I always chuckle with EA games when the 'EA high definition' logo aapears :D
