You could force the last update by going into the system blade and doing the Live connection test - might be of use for people who aren't getting it straight away.

Hopefully they might include it in the next update. If the add 1680x1050 and 1600x1200, that'll be pretty much every resolution covered.

updated just fine and can play on live, yay...

using the vga cable and dell 2405fpw am now in 1920x1080

. so i guesss 1080p gaming here i come. now to see it in action with splintercell

Oh no! I'm gutted. Looks like this monitor is going to be swapped for something else now.

As an aside - does this mean that the Xbox 360 will now play things like WMV and WMV-HD files just burned to a DVD-R?

Stream media from portable device?

Apparantly in the new update you should be able to play videos straight from your protable device. I was all for it so i ripped out my 250GB portable HD and stuck it into my 360... It says it can find my pictures and music but cant find any videos.... about 200gb of my 250gb HD is made of videos all of diffferent file formats so what gives?

Games will jsut be upscaled from 720P so there's not really going to be any difference is there? The only difference I can imagine on the 2405 is a slightly better picture as it's nearer the screens native resolution.

Well, I run the same so I'll find out when I get home from work I guess

Why swap the monitor? Use the VGA cable...
