3870x2 running cod4

thats what made me buy a 8800GTS over 3870, the ATI card is too inconsistant, scores well in 3D mark, but gets beaten by the NVIDIA cards in the majority of real-world game benchmarks

GTX gets 7096 @ 2,560 x 1,600 on standard 3dmark06

It gets 2536 on 3DMark06 HDR/SM3.0

would appear our PC's are all capable of running massively high resolutions without much of a hit! THose results seem a bit fishy to be honest anyways....that oblivion performance is something else haha

Yeah, it can support 4 of them, but there are no drivers for 8 x GPU's.

Yes, bumping up the res has a natural AA effect. The 'Jaggies' get smaller and smaller.

At 1920x1200 2xAA is very nice, 4xAA and its nearly perfect for me.

How will they be a bottleneck? It was running at PCI-E 2.0 8X which is like PCI-E 16X I think.

Yep, correcto.
PCI-e 2.0 has double the bandwidth at the same speed. Compared to PCI-e 1.0/1

Dont think so they dont have Tri-Crossfire

You might be able to with the CrossfireX drivers, pretty sure they support 1-4 cards in various combinations.
