3870X2 whose first???

well its not like its gona go away and it will onyl get cheaper with age so i dont see the harm in waiting a bit. Only crysis would benefit from it anyawy and if it relys on crossfire it might not as crysis and crossfire arnt yet working very well are they? not to say sli is either though!

The laughable thing about crysis is those prats that made it stated numerous times the game was being built with multi core and multi gpu in mind. The whole games nothing but a collection of broken promises and bs from the developers. :mad:
 
The patch (came out last week i think) did diddily for performance increase, like 2fps max.

Anyway x2, any ideas on nda lifting time or is that info (stupidly enough) under nda?

Totally agree, their engine seems really ineffecient.. When you compair it to UT3 which (although not as polly intensive etc..) you can see Dual cores and Quad core cpu's etc making a huge improvement to the framerate.
 
NDA's arn't usualy lifted till the day.

Though just talking to ocuk they told me what time and waht day the GTS was going to come out. Everyone thought it was going to be monday/tuesday when they told me it would be wednessday and said if i ring just after 1pm id get a card. Kinda handy :) not that i got one in the end anyawy ! lol.

Lol, cheap.

May get one in the summer as will be heading off to America then but I'm in no hurry to replace my currrent card and want to hear all the good and bad bits as well.
 
wonder if ocuk are sick of phone calls to see if it can be ordered? i have phoned lots of times lol sold my gtx a few weeks ago ordered a new 500g hard drive new 4 gb black dragon mem and am awaiting the card!!!! i am on wifes laptop and its hacking me off lol

Me too! Sold my PC and I'm waiting for the Penryn Chips and 9800's. Just ordered the Silverstone TJ07 case ready for my custom water. I'm going to hold off till March time as I think there's going to be a few surprises within the next month or 2.

Judging by those first 2 reviews ill be sticking with my GT, lets hope the proper sites (Guru,Anandtech, Firingsquad etc...) show it looking better.
 
That's well fast enough for me, if that's the real performance (going to wait for Toms and Anandtech), then i'm placing an order ASAP. :D
 
LOL still won't play Crysis properly though will it. Pointless getting it in my opinion if it doesnt. Hopefully the 9800's will do it some justice.
