3d Mark 06 scores thread

Here's a score I got back when I went through my big TWO hour overclocking marathon lol. I learned in about 20 mins what to do then got it to said speeds in my sig and on first crash at stock volts I just left it where it was and enjoyed my gaming.

Asrock Dual Sata + Opty 146 @ 2.55ghz + Palit 7900GS @ 600/1420 = 4374

(note: some artifacts seen in last 10 secs of deep freeze test)

AMD athlon64 3500+ @stock(2201mhz)
1GB kingston 'extra value' RAM(total carp :P)
ATI radeon x1900xt (256) @stock

only got 3699 :( (i blame RAM and processor :/)
can't list the points without doing it again, so you will have to be happy with 3699 ;)

You should be getting at least 4500 with that setup. I have the same specs as you (except I have the 512mb radeon x1900xt) and I get 4650. Could be the ram; is it two sticks running in dual channel?

I got some new numbers in my sig now ive recently got a X1950pro. cant post compare urls yet as the orb doesnt recognise card :| I was expecting abit more upgrading from an X800XT but i guess i can at least have sm3 and hq af now ;)

I have moved from Crossfired X1900's to the 8800gtx. I picked up the Albertron card for at a great price... horrible sticker, but just as good a card as the BFG. Does 633core and 2150mem so far

Cost wise... a pair of crossfire x1950's would cost slightly more than the 8800gtx.

At last the Nvidia cards gives as good, or better image quality... thats why i moved from Nvidia to ATI awhile ago.

Performance.
The 8800gtx beats all my existing benchmarks with xfire and this is with my CPU clocked far lower.

These are all with my cpu at 3.8ghz, my previous best with the crossfire were recorded at 4.1Ghz

3D2001.
8800gtx scores 64,219 http://service.futuremark.com/compare?2k1=9089424
x1900 xfire score was 63k

3D2006.
8800gtx scores 12,167 http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm06=633353
x1900 xfire score was 11,100

These scores are all out of the box settings.

The other thing that has suprised me is how quiet the card is. Temps are very low and it does not turn the fan past silent at all.

AMD Athlon 64 3700+
2gb Geil Value DDR 400 Dual CH Memory (2 x 1gb)
MSI GEFORCE 7900GT/GTO 512mb
ASROCK 939DualSATA2 Mobo

Well I would say if thats everything at stock (or roughly stock) then that score is pretty good.

Normally a dual core cpu will add roughly 500-1000 points to the score iirc (depending on the setup and the cpu).
