I have nearly bought the Asus VG278H so many times over the last few weeks but the reviews are so mixed I'm a little scared to commit.
Does anyone know of any 3d monitors 27"+ that are due out soon and are worth waiting for?

Buy the Asus and it is on special at the moment. I love it and it has totally changed my games and films.

If you don't like it you can send it back :) win win

Oh and buy Trine 2 to go with it.....jaw dropping quality in 3D

Its more the 2D performance that worries me. I have a iiyama Prolite E2607WS at the moment and I don't think the Asus will give me any benefits in 2D.

After finding how to change the settings the 2D looks lush now. Out the box it was just too bright but change to one of the pre sets and it is now spot on.

PCM2 knows his monitors (going from previous posts) but from the general consumers point of view "What we don't know, does not hurt us"

I have had Different monitors from CRT's to 3D but IMO this Asus is top quality and I have it sitting along side an Iiyama and the 2D picture looks far more detailed with depth and clarity than the said Iiyama.

What makes me smile is the 3Dness of this monitor and games just take on a whole new perspective. Films I would normally watch on my £1100 Sony look better on my monitor.

I am not 100% but I dont think the 3D will work with AMD cards. Somebody might have a work around but I am not sure sorry.

Hey guys, I'm building a PC very soon and am looking at 3D monitors, was wondering if anyone has some specific recommendations. Sorta looking at a max of £200 to spend on one but the cheaper the better of course. Also do 3D monitors suffer from any form of response time or refresh rate issues? I'm not too clued up on them.
