@Greg,
Bah, not what I thought
, I thought it was now possible for Nvidia 3D vision/emitter/glasses to run on native 3D panels, not just 3DTV.
Your cheapest option would be an outright purchase of 3DTV rather than splashing out for an emitter, unless you can source a second hand emitter for<$40.
1. $40 too, but it's way better than 3DTV.
2. No FS for either AMD/Nvidia through a 3D TV using Tridef, it's the limitation of HDMI at fault there in regards to AMD not running FS, Nvidia won't allow FS through Tridef regardless whether it worked or not.
At a guess no FS for Nvidia on 3DTV(I ran SBS when I tried it on the in laws TV) as well-as I said, I wasn't impressed at all with it an uninstalled it.

Do you get the 3d tv play program with the emitter or is it free to download once you have bought said emitter?
I have a new Samsung 3dtv and would like to give it a try

Tridef isn't an great alternative either to 3D Vision on Nvidia.
1) Gotta pay for it.
2.) No Frame Sequential for Nvidia.
