It's GPU bound, like all RT applications, now compare your CPU to a 5950X in 1080p inside a real world game. :)

Side note, that's a complete waste imo, did you forget to buy the rest of your rig when getting that 3090?
 
I sold my 5.4GHz 10900K,

might try out a 5900X/5950X... I still think in games intel has it with 5000cache an 4400mhz cl16/17 memory tbh.

Yeah, I've tested my own CPU against the supposed 5950X and it doesn't win in a lot of games... I guess reviewers don't configure the systems in a most beautifully optimal manner.

Side note, where the hell is the 3090 stock? I'm already sick of this 3070.
