Talrinys, the 1st part of your post largely makes no sence.

2nd part, I dont care if you buy a Dual or a Quad, I wont talk you out of either, its the Quad fanboys who talk others out of Duals not vice versa, it all depends on the use and time you keep it IMO, some may worry about power and heat also.

3rd part, I see no flaming in most of these threads jsut the fact some have blinkers on and thing the world revolves arounf a CPU that wont be fully used for a while, and not all use keep our CPU's for years and soon there will be Real Native/Faster/Cheaper Quads.

You should go and read up on what a Non Native Quads limitations are from a Native Quads in the aspect of sharing total cache or nor share total cache, Google it.

So IMO, your the one posting in a Troll/Flamming way ;)

Whats the point of me having a Q6600 when little uses all 4 cores and I ideally want back on AMD (read above) and will be soon, so 4GHZ does me nicely in games esp as running a fast GPU.

At end of the day, its the person buyings choice not anyone elses, and the WWW is full of threads with topic " E6850 or Q6600" so its not as if all them can be dumb buying a Dual as someone here keep saying in these multiple copy threads.

As I said, I dont care either way but nobody should need justify there purchase of a Dual over a Quad.

Your post makes no sense.

I can quite easily utilise four cores.

I stand by 'if you don't do anythimg/much to use the extra 2 cores, what's the point in sacrificing overclocking headroom?'

Would you HONESTLY say to me, a quad core is better in that price bracket if the ONLY programs i use that take advantage of the other 2 cores are Supreme Commander and WinRAR?

Yes.

Future games like Crysis etc... will be faster on quad core.

This is fact.

You make no sence most of the time (since your the one guilty of calling others dumb in these Dual v Quads threads), I do not encode or such these days, most my PC will do is Game so Dual core does me for the matter of months I will own a Intel CPU.

These threads are a waste of time, Im going back to completing Airbourne.

Should be a sticky about using search before making 100 threads with same topic IMO.

It may well be fact but considering i got this a little bit ago now, and can upgrade to a native quad in a matter of months, why would i bother about whats in the future just now? Going a month with 20% less frame rate isn't going to kill me, especially seeing as its STILL only 3 or 4 games.

If buying a new CPU now then quad is the only choice IMO

Depends on needs and price range. Also don't try and make it seem like you've only been saying that for a few weeks now, even when I bought this E6750 you guys were spouting about 'buy a quad, its the only sense now, if you dont buy a quad you are stupid'.
