3tb hard drive ?

how does the computer able to recognize the 3tb hard drive.

i have gone into the computer management and it will only recognize 2tb and 700gb instead of the 2.7tb of the hard drive... not sure what i`m doing wrong?


i hope someone can tell me... been looking about half an hour now

gpt was the key word and i managed to get the pc to read the full hard drive now...

i just use it for my data.. i.e. videos, and music.
