3ware raid controller replacement

Hello, we currently use the obsolete 3ware 9697SA-8i raid controllers (with the additional battery backup module) for Win XP servers.
Due to costs and security reasons, we cannot replace the servers or upgrade from Win XP at present.
One of the servers has a raid controller with a broken port, but we fear that another is due to fail soon.
Our systems are configured RAID 5.
Can we simply replace the raid cards with a different manuafacturer and maintain the raid 5 integrity without data loss? Or do you know of any compatible raid cards?

Entirely depends on the mfg/model you're planning on moving to really.

You'd probably have the most luck going 3ware to LSI though.

You can probably get a 2nd hand straight replacement off a well known auction site for peanuts.
