So yea I just bought 3x Iiyama ProLite E2407HDSD 24" Widescreen LCD Monitor, a 5870 + active display port so im all ready for eyefinity, but I just wondered if anyone had any suggestions on a triple monitor rack that isnt thousands of pounds lol! ideally around £200

because my monitors are widescreen rotating them to 90 degrees might be useful as seen here which would require new monitors or a rack that allows rotation.

thanks in advance

Sean

Your best quality stand would be from ergotron but they cost a tonne.
Although might just be in your price range.

Why would you want them in portrait mode btw? Looks awful imo :o

Edit: Just checked out that Amazon link, seems like people are saying the mounting arms are too short, even for 3x19"

That link could be classed as a competitor, might want to remove it.

Unknownsock - It actually states in the description "if your monitors are wider than 30cm/ea or larger than 15" in nominal size , you will need to buy two additional long arms modules"

And I'll agree, 3 in portrait for gaming just doesn't look good imo.

Edit: Just looked on Ergotron site and the only stands that can do tripple monitors that are desk mounts are This and This and neither can do tripple 24". Personally I'd go with one to do two screens, and then another stand for the last one, however as I've never used monitor arms/mounts before, I can't give advice on what ones to choose, only that Ergotron seem to be looked at at high quality.

Actually some of those quite easily fit 24" on, even though not stated.
Its on WSGF's, i'd have to dig it up to confirm though.

Thinking of getting one myself for my monitors but not sure i cant justify the price really.
Might just make one myself :)

Can you wall mount or do you have to have desk mount?

For my 3*24inch Eyefinity set up I've gone for three individual wall mounters (bought form other site). This will then allow me to move the monitors individually and have a lot of different flexible positions for the monitors close to wall or they can come out 100cm and they tilt and turn. The 3 arms have cost less than £100 in total.

I have all the bits and will be putting it together this weekend, so will post you a picture of them mounted next week.

As promised here's a shot of my 3*24 runnning

View behind of the 3 brackets. Tooks some fiddling to get them in the correct position for hieght and width.

Countessa,

The monitor arms are Allcam LCD107's sold by a big online retailer.

The desk was bought from the Oak Furniture part of a local garden centre. WhiteHall Garden Centre @ Lacock, Wiltshire, they do have an online shop.

Note the desk is very big. It's 180cm wide, can't remember the height and depth, but the height is higher than a normal desk.

Disjunto,

Was wondering if anyone would spot that. It's 4mm lower at present. The wall mounting though is perfectly in place with the others. Put a spirit level across the top. Can only think the tolerences in the build of the arms isn't as consistent as I'd like. I think there may be a need for a few washers to try to bring it up into line. It's going to frustrate me if I can't get it in line though.

also the rank im thinking of getting later on is http://www.allcam.biz/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=29&products_id=247 with 2xhttp://www.allcam.biz/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=29&products_id=697 which is just under £100, which isn't bad.

is the monitor actually flat? could be twisted a bit on the mount

Yup, is flat, I put them all in a line and looked down the row of them and they are all at the same angles. but slightly out in height.

Will try to fiddle tonight to get them in line. Mind you playing some games like Op Flashpoint last night the difference didn't bother me.

Nice desk. On the website it does not give the measurements though?

Just says A,B,C etc. length in mm but there is no key!

indeed could you give measurements last thing i want to do is buy it then have it blocking the door to my living room (this happened with my sofa when i moved house so i had to Give my Newish (3 months old) away and buy a small 1

Thanks

I like the idea of the shape and sitting in the middle. If I get this one I probably sit more to the right...did you try this and was it uncormfortable?

well the idea behind the curve is that people who use their mouse in their right hand can rest the right arm/wrist on the desk. but you can rest both arms should you feel to as the desk is deep enough to have your elbows on the desk and use the keyboard and mouse further up the desk.

I bought the desk and a chair and there easily one of the best things I've ever bought for my PC, as they will last for so long. Its well worth the investment of a little more now to have something that is just what you want that will outlive your pc!

But no, sitting like that is fine, I personally dont because of my monitors
