My 7600GT gets me like 91FPS constant in COD2...

Now I have tweaked it, I never get lower than 160FPS and sometimes it stays around 210FPS all the time.

That's not on DX9 surely.

No card will do that, let alone a 7600gt.

cod2 simply runs like *No Swearing!* on dx9.

runs like a beauty on dx7 and it almost looks the same.

to the OP, try putting your game in dx7 mode?

If your last AGP card was used in the same asrock dual, have you switched the primary display to PCI-E through the BIOS. Also can't harm to uninstall the mobo's AGP drivers if you haven't already done so.

DX 9 mode for single player <---- Usually about 60 - 90 fps
DX 7 mode for MP ;) <---- Too much fps for me to know the max

Maxed settings, 1280 x 1024. 4AA 16AF spec in sig :p

thanks for the replys guys :)
well pcie is selected in bios, i uninstalled ATI tray and installed CCC and FPS went up to 45-60 with quality settings in driver panel, i have tried to unistall the AGP driver but it reinstalls after a restart, i have used the ULI 220 drivers for MB drivers, gonna retry running 3dmark 05 to check.

Thanks

EDIT: just unistalled ATI driver CCC and run driver cleaner pro in safe mode, then installed MB drivers then ATI driver and WDM nothing else so far
COD texture settings are all set to high , just checked the IRQ is 25 is that ok?
EDIT 2: well graphics looked bitmapped so uninstalled ati tray tools and installed CCC and seems fine so far no bitmapped images in COD2

I get 60minimum and 110max on DX9 with my spec below, I did have to downclock my processor though as I had it on 2.6 memory set to 133 and at native res + DX9 it would jerk like mad, set processor back to 2.0 and memory to 200 and it runs like a dream!!

COD2 is very taxing on my pc!! But it's my fav game atm :D

i know COD2 isn't the best game to test with but i do play it a hell of a lot.
i have just reinstalled CCC and havn't touched any settings in that control panel and 50-60 fps @ 1024x768 textures in game are on extra its does look good though. :)

i have also checked the 3D mark 05 score of 8600ish but alos noticed the clocks reported @ Core Clock 594 MHz/Memory Clock 693 MHz
CPU is 2.5ghz mem & 166 CAS2 &1T / HTT 250
i wondering if its due to having an Nvidia card (AGP) before this?

EDIT: here is the link to my 3d 05 score:

I love the COD2 singleplayer but i really don't think that the visuals warrant the low framerates.

I totally agree mate, I'd have thought BF2 would be like that, big maps lots going on etc!!??!!
