4 Missing drivers in device manager ?

As the title says, I have 4 Missing drivers in device manager :confused:

I am confused to what they are because as far as I am concerned I installed all the drivers for my motherboard straight from the ASUS website, I could be wrong though, I might have missed one, I dunno.:confused:

Please have a look at the picture and hopefully someone can tell me or direct me to the correct drivers as I am getting super sick of all these drivers now man :(

yes it has onboard wifi mate, plus i just added a front usb 3.0 x2 port to the motherboard header the other day too.

had to reinstall windows too cause I got my new ssd, so thats why i am having to do all this rubbish again :(

If I can remember right, thats what put me off asus boards mega years ago because of the amount of drivers you need to keep an eye on :(

you mentioned intel managment controller, you any idea for a link for that mate , I am honestly so sick of this now i am ready to smash the thing up :(, all this driver nonesense does my head in :( :confused:

yes i have the correct LAN drivers from the asus site mate :) (not so sure about the wireless ones though, lol), just so many drivers man, its does my head right in :(

If you're still struggling, Right click the device in Device manager > Properties > Details > Hardware IDs.

Post the 4 digit number after 'VEN_' and also the 4 digit number after 'DEV_'

And I'll see if I can help :)

How can you draw a blank with those?
The 8086 one is a no brainer. And the other 2 are Broadcom and ASMedia (ASUS).

Well not really,

ASmedia USB 3.0 drivers are available from the mainboard drivers download page

Broadcom is going to be the wireless lan drivers also on the download page

Simple coms controller with be the Intel ME drivers under utilities on the driver download page
 
the other day I just installed one of these, could this be the problem >>>

Installed this while installing my SSD vertex 4 too and then reinstalled windows onto the ssd obviously, maybe this info helps, in the meantime I will look again on the asus website, but i'm 99% sure I already installed all the drivers from there :(
 
Im pretty sure Asus have an update utility that will automatically check your machine and download the relevent drivers

Go to Asus site, search for your board and operating system and its under the utilities section (think its called Asus Update)

Never used it personally but as you dont like driver updates very much it might suit you.

Thanks very much guys, after your help I eventually this morning managed to get it down to just one missing driver and that was this one >>>>

Well turns out you were right, not that I am complaining, but if you would have said it was under the MEI folder on the asus disk and then when you open that and start the file up its called intel management engine components, then I would have found it in 2 secs, LOL, but I guess thats the way it goes, you learn by your mistakes, I mean I learn, lol. (thats on the asus disk that comes with the motherboard, but on the asus website its actually at present called "Intel(R) Management Engine Interface", they sure like to try and confuse people, lol.

What a nightmare asus boards are for the drivers man, that screwed my head up, lol.

Now I'm scared to even update my drivers now, LOL.

Anyways, what exactly does the Intel Management Engine components driver or whatever it is actually do thats caused all this fuss ?

I have to say, I am glad that I have got this thread bookmarked now for when I next install windows, lol.

Intel Active Management Technology (AMT) is hardware-based technology for remotely managing and securing PCs out-of-band.[1][2][3][4][5] Currently, Intel AMT is available in desktop PCs with Intel Core 2 processor with Intel vPro technology and available in laptop PCs with Centrino or Centrino 2 platform with vPro technology.

think thats a different thing mate, I have a Z77 motherboard and an ivybridge and we'r talking about Intel Management Engine components , not Intel AMT or those other cpu's etc, but anyway, maybe someone will know for sure ;) (you may be correct though).

I would still like to know why the heck it caused all this fuss on my system, lol and exactly what it actually does.

Intel is the processor and itel management engine manages your processors input/output
