4770k h100i and a g1 sniper z87

the temps with intel burn test were a lot worse than i get with aida64 or in any game situation or heaven 4.

upped the speed to 4.6ghz now and the top end temp is like a spike not sat there all the time.

I dunno why people use IBT and then get worried that the temps are hitting 95c... ffs people those tests are designed to push EVERYTHING to the max, they are not realistic scenarios of day to day use...

my i5 2500k @4.4 under a Antec 920 with 2 x Enermax pwm fans hits high 80s in IBT, omgawd omgawd what do i do?? what do i do??? play BF4 and it barely breaks 60c on Ultra settings with a full 64 player map...

Your pcs will NEVER i repeat NEVER get used in the way that IBT etc stress the PC, seriously play the PC under normal conditions for an hour or two and check the temps, dont bother with IBT etc as you are just going to scare yourselves for no real reason.

If however your PC is hitting the mid to high 70s under gaming then sure take a look at your cooling and scale your OC back, but until that point, really dont worry.

I use IntelBurnTest to test my CPU cooler's ability and Aida64 for normal realistic stress testing.

My i7 920 @ 4GHz 1.3V only reached 80C in IntelBurnTest so it goes to show that Haswell is a hot chip indeed.:D
